Among the forests and lakes of Aukštaitija, near Lake Žeimenis, lies a century-old homestead –
Villa Arjola. It is not only a place for rural tourism, but also the result of love, devotion and handiwork passed down from generation to generation. The history of the homestead goes back more than a century – it was built by the former owner, Mr. Lapinskas, who came from Poland. Later, the homestead was purchased by Gūbertas and Viktorija, Arūnas’ parents. They cherished this corner for years, and later passed it on to Arūnas and Jolanta Baranauskas – the current owners of Villa Arjola. The family not only lived here, but also created a vision for the future. Together with their children – Indre, Haroldas and Mykolas. Arūnas and Jolanta turned this homestead into a place where natural nature, family warmth and modern comfort come together. The children contributed both with ideas and work from a young age. However, the greatest contribution was made by Arūnas and Jolanta Baranauskas. Their mutual harmony and desire to live closer to nature led to the birth of Villa Arjola, a place they call not only an oasis of relaxation, but also a part of their lives.
🌲 Embraced by nature
The environment is unique - Lake Žeimenis is nearby, and the rivers Žeimėna and Kiaunė flow. The homestead is surrounded by centuries-old forests and numerous lakes. Nearby are educational trails, places popular with fishermen, ski slopes in Ignalina, places of interest: Devil's Mill, Ladakalnis, Bee Museum, an old manor with tennis courts. In the homestead yard there is a century-old hazel grove, fruit trees and natural maple shade.
